Hexagone, French Property Fund, successfully completes first acquisition

26 Jun 2008 The portfolio of six high-quality property assets totals 41,900 square metres, with high occupancy levels and comprises: offices (71% of the portfolio) light industrial (19% of the portfolio) and warehouse space (10% of the portfolio). Two of the assets are located in Lyon-St Pries and Lyon-Limonest, and the remaining four in the second ring around Paris in Elancourt, Eragny-sur-Oise, Lisses, and Combs-la-Ville. The vendor, a private fund, has been advised by King Sturge, while DTZ Asset Management and Morley were advised by Paul Hastings, Paris, Etude Allez & Associés and Moisand Boutin & Associés. Key features of the fund: - 10 year lifespan from launch. - Capital growth with a targeted average internal rate of return of 10% per annum over the Fund life. - High stable income with a target net distribution yield of between 5 and 6% per annum when fully invested. - A diversified portfolio of high quality property assets. To date, six assets have been secured for the Fund for €84 million (two in Lyon and four in the second ring around Paris). - Highly experienced investment management and property acquisition teams.

26 May 2008 Cargill has completed the acquisition of various divisions of the Degussa Group.In 2006 Cargill already had bought the "Food Ingredients" division before absorbing three other divisions in France.

Sequans Secures New Financing of $28 Million

25 Feb 2008

Sequans Communications, a leading supplier of fixed and mobile WiMAX chips, has raised 28 million USD in a new round of equity-based and convertible debt financing. 

Major telecom operator Swisscom, and Reliance Technology Ventures Limited, the corporate venture capital arm Reliance ADA Group of India join private equity firm CDC Enterprises, through the France investment program, as new Sequans minority investors, and European investment bank NATIXIS is the primary participant in the convertible debt financing.

Moisand Boutin & Associés (Jean-Philippe Jacob,) was Reliance Technology Ventures Limited's advisor .

Co-opting of a New Partner in Labour Law

02 Dec 2007 Christine Hillig-Poudevigne joined Moisand, Boutin & Associés recently as Associate Director to co-manage the Labour Law Department with Marianne Franjou, Partner. Her prior experience, her high level of expertise and the success of her joining the team justifies her rapid promotion.

Christine Hillig-Poudevigne, age 39, has over eight years of experience in English-speaking structures. She began her career in the firm Slaughter and May (1997-2001) to then join the firm of Allen & Overy (2002-2006).
A labour law specialist with Moisand Boutin & Partners, Christine Hillig-Poudevigne advises companies during restructuring operations, mergers and acquisitions and collective bargaining negotiations.

She also works on employment agreements, settlement negotiations, individual and collective dismissal procedures, employee savings plans, introduction of new technologies, etc.

Christine Hillig-Poudevigne has been a lawyer since 1997. She is holder of a Master's in Business Law from the Université de Paris V René Descartes (1990), graduated from the IEP de Paris (1992), and obtained a Pre-Doctorate Degree in International Trade Law from the Université de Paris I Sorbonne (1993). She joined Moisand Boutin & Associés in September 2006 after four years with Slaughter and May and four years with Allen & Overy.

Legal counsel to the Redilco Group for acquisition of an office building in rue de Provence for 22.5 million euros

01 Dec 2007 The Italian Redilco Group, a main player in the real estate sector, has just acquired an upscale office building in rue de Provence for a total of 22.5 million euros. This building was the French headquarters for the Banco Popolare di Verona e Novara, which transferred it to Redilco through the Compagnie d’Angely.

Moisand Boutin & Associés (Michel Boutin, Partner, and Virginie Bouet, Partner) advised and assisted the Redilco Group in this transaction.
