Jean-Pierre Langlais is a partner at Moisand, Boutin & Associés where he practices in the field of corporate and business law.
Prior to his entry at Moisand, Boutin & Associés in May 2005, he was a Paris partner at the UK law firm Lovells (2001 to 2005), a founding partner of the French law-firm Siméon & Associés until its merger into Lovells (1990 to 2001) and first non founding partner of Siméon Moquet Borde (1983 to 1989).
He began his professional training in two major UK and US international law firms (Wilkinson Kimbers Staddon in London (UK) and King & Spalding in Atlanta (Georgia, USA).
Since May 2005, he and one of his fellow partners, Jean-Philippe Jacob, are co-directors of the Corporate/ M&A Department of Moisand Boutin & Associés.
Jean-Pierre is involved in numerous transactions in the fields of corporate law and business law, often in an international context and in particular in the high-tech / telecom / media and banking sectors.
His expertise covers M&A transactions, domestic and international corporate transactions (such as the creation of business entities, acquisition of shareholding interest, shareholders agreement, acquisition agreements, restructuring, long term financing transactions, corporate finance, corporate governance and corporate strategy) investment capital and other business transactions (joint ventures and strategic alliances, commercial contracts, licensing arrangements, outsourcing agreements).
He acts on behalf of multinational groups, in particular US and UK groups, for complex and sensitive transactions over a long period of time such as from 1994 to 2003, on behalf of SBC Communications the US telecom operator with respect to the acquisition, management and disposal of their shareholding interest in SFR/ Cegetel or more recently the sale of a major player (Carte Bleue) in electronic banking. He also acts for medium-sized businesses.
The business sectors of Jean-Pierres clients are extremely varied but include in particular high technologies, investment capital, banking and inter-banking, medical equipment, media, telecommunications, and real estate.
2011 - Award. In 2011, Jean-Pierre Langlais was awarded the ILO Client Choice Award 2011 in the area of General Corporate Finance
